The most basic and most useful description of the size of a digital image is in terms of its pixel dimensions.

Changing its pixel dimensions changes the displayed size of the image and also its file size (1.81 Megabytes, 174.9 Kilobytes, 19.3 Kilobytes).

The terms pixel dimensions and resolution can be used interchangeably
if it is clear that resolution means image resolution and not print resolution.
